Houses with round windows renovated in Moscow under the capital repairs program

In the capital, major repairs were carried out in 71 residential buildings, which are decorated with unusual round window blocks and antique elements on the front facades. Among such buildings is the house on Novopeschanaya Street, 14, on the front facade of which there is a dormer window. It is located in the center of the figured attic. In addition to this window, there are also blocks that are located above the entrances, on the courtyard side.

On Leninsky Prospekt, 7, specialists carried out repair work on windows of various shapes, as well as on decorative elements - porticoes, interfloor belts and pilasters.

In addition, major repairs were also carried out in Karmanitsky Lane, where onion-shaped lintels decorate oval windows. In addition to the stepped cornice, the rounded windows give the building originality. They are framed with keystones and are located on the front facade on the top floor.

Major repairs in residential buildings with rare windows were carried out under the regional program. Most of the buildings that were subject to renovation work have a rich history, and famous architects were responsible for their construction. The renovation was complicated by the complex relief of the facades and old decorative elements, which must be restored with special attention. The department's employees cleaned the facades and reinforced the cracks before the main stages of the renovation.

Earlier, specialists from the Moscow City Services Complex overhauled about 400 facades of residential buildings in the capital since the beginning of 2024.

As Deputy Mayor for Housing and Public Utilities and Improvement Pyotr Biryukov said, a total of 900 facades are planned for the current year as part of the regional capital renovation program.
