An ecotechnopark for the processing of recyclable materials will appear in Primorye by 2024

An ecological technopark may appear on the Nadezhdinskaya priority development area; it will start operating until 2024. For this, an agreement was signed with the government of the Primorsky Territory on the creation of an eco-technopark. Recycling and recycling of waste will help spread the movement of separate collection in Primorye, RIA VladNews reports, citing the press service of the Primorye government.

The Government of Primorye and the Russian ecological operator signed an agreement on the creation of an ecotechnopark. The enterprises will be designed for the disposal of old tires and the processing of plastic, glass, paper and cardboard.

“Primorye has a fairly limited market for recyclable materials, so it is so important to create deep processing facilities for key types of waste locally, within the region,” said Elena Parkhomenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Territory.

According to Elena Parkhomenko, the Nadezhdinskaya ASEZ is considered as a promising territory for creating an eco-technopark.

Until 2024, the Russian environmental operator plans to invest in the creation of an ecological technopark; private investors can also take part in this.

Note that in Primorye they want to increase the share of collected recyclable materials in everyday life and organize waste collection points in various regions of the region, including remote and hard-to-reach ones. Separate collection and ecology education activities are also part of the agreement on the establishment of an Eco-Technopark.

“For the second year in the region, measures for separate collection have been implemented: almost 500 special containers have been installed, four waste sorting stations have been built, there are also enterprises interested in using sorted raw materials in their production. But the peculiarities of Primorye, like all regions of the Far East, - low population density and long distances ̶ complicate the process of recycling. We suppose that the creation of an eco-technopark will give a significant impetus to work in this direction, ”Olena Parkhomenko emphasized.
