Dagestan strategy for creating tourist routes with the participation of enterprises is the best in the country

The All-Russian accelerator for the development of industrial tourism was held in Kaluga. The purpose of the event is to create and implement effective mechanisms for positioning Russian industrial enterprises as open, competitive and producing high-quality products.

The program included the defense of industrial tourism development strategies by regional teams. The strategic project "Development of industrial tourism in the Republic of Dagestan" was presented by the Minister of Tourism and Folk Art of Dagestan Emin Merdanov. In his speech, he noted that the strategy is focused on promoting new segments of tourism, local brands and regional products.

“Today, a distinctive feature of industrial tourism in the republic is the involvement in this segment of not only industrial enterprises, but also enterprises of the agro-industrial complex. Our folk art crafts and popular tourist sites of Dagestan can be considered a hallmark of industrial tourism,” the head of the department noted.

The team of the region created five excursions to enterprises within the framework of the accelerator. These are excursions to the Chirkeyskaya hydroelectric power station, the Kizlyar cognac factory, LLC "PP Kizlyar", the International Airport of Makhachkala, the Dagestan glass container plant.

"When choosing the participating enterprises, the team of the region went in a special way, taking into account the tourist potential of historically significant objects of the republic and territorial brands. These are the traditions of glass production in the Dagestan Fires, Kubachi silverware, Dagestan urbech and Kizlyar cognac. Also of great interest to tourists is breeding trout and sturgeon. And the pearl of industrial tourism in Dagestan is the Chirkeyskaya HPP," Merdanov concluded.

Based on the results of the presentations, ASI accelerator experts identified sixteen best regional industrial tourism development strategies. The Republics of Dagestan and Mordovia won in the nomination "Industrial tourism" for the best strategies for creating tourist routes with enterprises.
