Dagestan Steklo Tara plans to increase production by 70 percent by 2024

LLC "Dagestan Steklo Tara" plans to increase production by 70 percent by 2024, the Ministry of Economy and Territorial Development of the Republic reported.

It is noted that by 2024 it is also planned to increase the share of exports by 20 percent, the range of products - by 50 percent, and the cost of glass containers - to reduce by 10 percent.

According to the ministry, the plant has become a pilot site for the implementation of the national project "Labor Productivity", which started in Dagestan in March this year. The program is designed for three years and consists of two phases - diagnostics and implementation. It is noted that the start-up activities of the national project during the first six months were implemented under the guidance of experts from the Federal Competence Center.

"The final result of the work done is a 3.5% cost reduction due to a reduction in the weight of products and an increase in its output by 9%. This is plus a million pieces of glass containers per month and 18 million rubles - excess profits for the year," the report says.

Earlier it was reported that in 2023 the plant plans to increase production capacity by 1.5 times due to the construction of a new workshop. The expansion will cost 1.6 billion rubles and will create up to 200 new jobs.

LLC "Dagestan Steklo Container" is a major supplier of glass containers in the North Caucasus Federal District. 70-75% of manufactured products are sold on the domestic market, 25-30% are exported.

In 2021, the Dagestan Glass Container plant shipped 60,000 tons of glass containers. By order of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the products manufactured by the enterprise are included in the plan for import substitution of building materials and structures until 2025.
