Prices for building materials in Russia have grown by almost a quarter since the beginning of the year

Prices for building materials in Russia have increased by 23.75% since the beginning of this year.

These are the official data of Rosstat.

In October, construction materials fell 0.7% on average. In particular, prices for particle board, oriented strand board and metal tile decreased by 4.9%, edged boards - by 0.1%.

At the same time, sheet window glass rose in price by 3.6%, red brick - by 2.1%, oil paints, domestic enamels - by 1.2%, tared cement - by 1%, roofing material - by 0.9%, laminate - by 0.8%, linoleum - by 0.7%.

According to the ministry, in general, prices for building materials in October 2021 increased by 25.8% compared to October 2020.

In September, the average cost of building materials in Russia fell by 1.3%.
