Butsaev: Construction of an eco-industrial park in the Stavropol region will be completed by the end of the year

Governor of the Stavropol Territory Vladimir Vladimirov and General Director of the Russian Ecological Operator Denis Butsaev checked the progress of work on the construction of an eco-industrial park in Nevinnomyssk. The facility is 55% complete and commissioning is scheduled for the end of this year.

According to information voiced by the general director of REO Denis Butsayev, in the eco-industrial park of Nevinnomyssk, among other things, technologies for using secondary material resources for the production of new types of products will be tested. The new technological site will start producing products from recycled materials. The head of the REO addressed the region with words of gratitude for the comprehensive assistance and emphasized that all issues significant for the implementation of this project were resolved on time.

As 56orb.ru writes, the first residents of the eco-industrial park in Nevinnomyssk will be enterprises that process plastic and produce polymer granules from it. In addition, glass processing plants will operate here, producing high-quality cullet for the manufacture of new glass containers. Also in the eco-industrial park, an enterprise will be opened for the production of techno-soil, which is used in road construction, landscaping work and technological support for large areas. The construction of a scientific and technical center for residents is actively underway, the capacity of which will reach a total of more than 210 thousand tons per year. In addition, work is underway on the construction of engineering infrastructure on the territory.

According to the head of the region, Vladimir Vladimirov, when constructing an eco-industrial park, they strive to preserve the natural resources of the region and minimize the negative impact on the environment. The integration of innovative technologies into the waste management industry in the Stavropol region is occurring at a rapid pace. The new eco-industrial park will increase the volume of useful MSW used in secondary production. This means that less waste will be sent to landfills.

The first eco-industrial park in the North Caucasus Federal District is being built in accordance with the goals of the federal project “Circular Economy”. The cost of the facility exceeds one billion rubles, and its opening is scheduled for the end of 2024.
