Belarusian glass holding promises a serious leap forward

The head of the Ministry of Construction and Architecture of Belarus Ruslan Parkhamovich, during his visit to the Elizovo branch of the Grodno Glass Factory OJSC, said that the glass holding has all the capabilities and resources for a significant leap forward. The department clarifies that the enterprise is currently implementing an investment project for the reconstruction of one of the shops. In particular, it is planned to purchase the most modern glass-melting furnace and automate all processes with glass containers having a non-standard configuration.

During the working trip, a meeting was held with the participation of representatives of the Belarusian Glass Company holding, which discussed the development of the Grodno glass plant and its branch in Yelizovo, as well as the Belarusian glass industry in general. Ruslan Parkhamovich noted that during the five-year plan, the production of flat glass can be increased by 1.4 times, and glass bottles - more than doubled. According to him, the production of medical ampoules can be increased 3.6 times.

The Minister stressed that the economic effect of the merger of glass factories into a holding is already visible. He explained that the efficiency of the enterprises has increased, the centralization of processes has made it possible to reduce costs, and modernization makes it possible to increase the competitiveness of products.
