Belarus Introduces Temporary Licensing for Glass

Belarus is introducing temporary licensing for glass. The corresponding Council of Ministers resolution was signed by Prime Minister Alexander Turchin.

The document provides for the unilateral introduction of six-month licensing for the export of glass waste from Belarus in order to support Belarusian manufacturers, create favorable conditions for the development of new production facilities, increase the production of import-substituting products, reduce the export of raw materials from the country, and eliminate raw material shortages.

A similar measure was already implemented in the fall of 2025, when the government introduced temporary licensing for the export of cullet.
