On January 20, 2021, an offsite meeting was held under the leadership of the StekloSouz Association of Russia. The issues of technical regulation of the production of glass products were discussed.
Nikolay Talakuev, Director of the Technical Regulation Department, made a presentation. He said that at present the glass industry is in dire need of government support to prepare standards for various segments of the glass industry. He paid special attention to the problems of improving the standardization of technical and medical glass. It was decided, together with the technical committees, to work out these issues in Rosstandart.
The proposals of the heads of industrial glass factories to improve technical regulation in the specified sector of the glass industry have been studied. The action plan of "StekloSoyuz" was approved, aimed at regulating acute problematic issues.
The meeting was attended by Viktor Ivanovich Osipov, President of the StekloSouz Association of Russia.
