Association «StekloSouz» of Russia. Session on the topic: «Market capacity for consumption of refractories by glass factories until 2030»

On May 23, 2024, the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia (hereinafter referred to as SSR) held a meeting of the heads of specialized committees, departments and the Scientific and Technical Center of the SSR (SSR SSR) together with marketing experts from glass melting and refractory plants.

Work plan: completion of preparation of the market capacity for the consumption of refractories by glass factories until 2030.

The meeting was held as part of the implementation of the decision of a joint meeting of domestic glass melting and refractory plants to prepare an analysis of the need for refractories until 2030 in the full range of consumption.

Currently, the work of the SSR team of experts with the involvement of colleagues from glass melting and refractory plants is coming to an end.

Refractory factories will receive a full breakdown of the need for refractories.

The work done will allow investors to develop new technologies and increase the volume of production for glass factories.

The work was carried out taking into account the consumption of refractories by neighboring countries.

The meeting was attended by Viktor Osipov, President of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia. In his concluding remarks, he thanked the experts, participants and performers of this work and assured that the conclusion would increase the volume of production and consumption of domestic refractories.

The meeting participants made a number of decisions, incl. hold a joint meeting of glass melting and refractory factories after assessing the market capacity.
