Association «StekloSouz» of Russia. Joint meeting with heads of companies specializing in thermal installation work at glass factories

On January 19, 2024, the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia (hereinafter referred to as SSR) held a meeting of heads of specialized committees and departments with the invitation of heads of companies specializing in thermal installation work at glass factories.

Issues of the quality of work performed, the introduction of new technologies in the production of hot and cold repairs, and the design of new glass melting furnaces were discussed.

Particular attention was paid to the use of domestic refractories in the production of the above works.

As you know, "StekloSouz", as part of the implementation of the joint decision, is working to determine the volumes and range of consumption of refractory materials until 2030. It is planned that work in this direction will be completed in the 1st half of 2024.

At the same time, issues of drawing up plans and programs for training personnel servicing glass furnaces were discussed.

As previously reported, as part of the implementation of the decision of the 24th annual international Forum “Glass and Modern Technologies - XXI” dated December 14, 2023, the Scientific and Technical Center under the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia (STC SSR), headed by Lyudmila Korshunova, was entrusted to deal with these issues .

Decisions have been made, including starting from 2024, together with factories, planned work on the examination of glass furnaces. To solve the assigned tasks, an Expert Council (EC) will be created on the basis of the Scientific and Technical Center of the SSR and the heat installation service of the SSR.

The meeting was chaired by Viktor Osipov, President of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia.
