Association «StekloSouz» of Russia. Meeting on the work of new services of the SSR: heat engineering and technical regulation of the use of refractory materials in glass melting

On October 6, 2023, the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia (hereinafter SSR) held a meeting with the participation of heads of departments, committees and new services: heat engineering and technical regulation of the use of refractory materials in glass making.

The topic of the meeting was improving the interaction of new services with glass factories, specialized departments of the SSR, heat installation companies and refractory plants.

The meeting was chaired by Viktor Osipov, President of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia.

Opening the meeting, Viktor Osipov asked the participants to give proposals for improving interaction with these services. I recalled that these management bodies were created on the basis of a decision of the general meeting of glass melting, refractory factories and heat installation companies on May 17, 2023.

The reason for contacting the SSR Association was the emergence of problems in providing factories with modern refractories, design and production of heat installation work.

Nikolay Talakuev, Director of the Department of Technical Regulation and Quality Control of the SSR, made proposals for improving interaction. He expressed the need to involve the RAS Institute in the work to study the possibilities of scientific research. Work in close cooperation with research institutes and set global goals for the latter. Nikolai Pavlovich drew attention to the fact that at present there is no single methodology for designing glass furnaces, assembling supplies, installation work, and operation.

It is necessary to improve technical requirements at all technological stages.

The heads of the SSR services expressed their position.

Decisions have been made. Including placement on the SSR portal of refractory plants with a full range of refractories and materials.

The heat installation service will prepare a list of candidate heat installation companies that have proven themselves on the positive side and have no claims from glass factories to publish complete data.
