Association «StekloSouz» of Russia. Work with authorities on the implementation of the principles of the circular economy

The Association «StekloSouz» of Russia actively cooperates with the Government, relevant ministries, departments, regulatory authorities of the Russian Federation and other interested authorities in order to introduce the principles of a circular economy in the glass industry.

Order No. 965 of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation (Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation) creates a working group (WG) on the issues of reducing the volume of production and consumption waste entering waste disposal facilities, introducing separate waste collection, switching to a circular economy and applying extended producer responsibility ( ROP) in terms of goods and packaging made of glass.

"StekloSouz" of Russia submitted proposals on the above issues to the Government, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, PPC Russian Environmental Operator (PPK REO), including on waste disposal, EPR and other topics that are fundamental to the implementation of the Extended Responsibility Strategy manufacturers and importers of goods and packaging (ROP), "road map".

By letter No. 08-25-53/42186, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation invited the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia to take part in the work of the Working Group of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation on problematic issues.

Currently, "StekloSouz" has recommended two experts to the WG - heads of the StekloSoyuz Committee on Ecology of Russia.

Work is underway to prepare an action plan for this structure.
