Association «StekloSouz» of Russia. Scheduled meeting of the Expert Council of the STC SSR

August of the current year ended with a scheduled meeting of the Expert Council of the Scientific and Technical Center at the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia (hereinafter STC SSR).

As you know, the STC SSR was approved in early June 2022. Lyudmila Fyodorovna Korshunova was appointed head of the Scientific and Technical Center of the SSR.

For the successful work of the STC SSR in a difficult economic period in the development of the glass industry, an Expert Council (EC) was formed from the best representatives of science, production and education.

The main task of the EС is to create conditions for the formation of technological independence, training of personnel and organization of production for the production of high-quality glass products for various sectors of the national economy.

At the same time, issues of supplying factories with high-quality raw materials, refractories and other related products will be systematically considered.

The meeting was chaired by Viktor Ivanovich Osipov, President of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia.

Korshunova L.F. made a report and proposals.

Members of the EC worked out in detail the proposals of the heads of factories, institutes and educational institutions.

Savchin Nikolai Vasilievich, General Director of the glass factory JSC "GLASS MARKET" proposed to the EC STC SSR to expand the range of problematic issues by including in the work plan the supply of important products to the factories, incl. paints and varnishes.

Stupina Daria Vladimirovna, director for science and development, reported in detail about the possibilities of JSC "Institute of Glass".

The position on new types of technologies and on the specific range of developments was reported by Yuri Alekseevich Spiridonov, Associate Professor (Department of Chemical Technology of Glass and Ceramic Glass) of the Russian University of Chemical Technology. DI. Mendeleev (Russian Chemical Technical University named after D.I. Mendeleev).

All EC members made proposals on organizing joint work to provide real assistance to glass industry enterprises.

The joint meeting adopted decisions, including: creating an import substitution catalog for the glass industry, summarizing the real needs for import substitution to prepare the consumption capacity, staffing the glass industry and retraining specialists in educational institutions.

It is scheduled to hear refractories manufacturers in the fourth quarter of 2022.
