Association «StekloSouz» of Russia. Meeting on the state of production of refractories for the glass industry

On May 29, 2024, the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia (hereinafter SSR) held a meeting on the state of production of refractories for the glass industry.

The meeting was attended by heads of specialized committees and departments of "StekloSouz".

The meeting was chaired by Viktor Osipov, President of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia.

The day before, May 22 of this year. The final meeting of experts of the working group (WG) on preparing the needs of refractory products for glass factories in Russia until 2030 took place.

Work on the preparation of this document was carried out by SSR experts with the involvement of plant specialists.

The decision to create a platform for understanding the consumption of all types of refractories until 2030 was made on May 17, 2023 at a joint meeting of the heads of domestic glass melting and refractory plants.

Summary data will allow investors of refractory enterprises to understand the market capacity for consumption of all types of this product by the glass industry. Research is necessary to develop the production of a high-quality range of Russian-made refractory materials.

Decisions have been made. Including sending a revised conclusion to refractory plants.

Viktor Osipov, closing the meeting, expressed hope that joint work will give a good result.
