Association «StekloSouz» of Russia. Scheduled meeting of heads of departments, committees and scientific and technical center of the USSR on issues of additional professional education

On May 14, 2024, the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia (hereinafter referred to as SSR) held a scheduled meeting of heads of departments, committees, and the Scientific and Technical Center of the SSR (STC SSR).

Issues of organizing the educational process for additional vocational education (CPE) were discussed.

The meeting was held as part of the implementation of the decision of the 24th annual international Forum “Glass and Modern Technologies - XXI” dated December 14, 2023.

Work was carried out with educational institutions to train specialists in various specialties.

Lyudmila Korshunova, head of the Scientific and Technical Center of the SSR, reported on what specialties applications from glass factories had received for training in 2024:

✔ glass forming machine operators

✔ glass makers

✔ mechanics

✔ technologists

✔ quality control inspectors (various categories of work and different categories)

✔ specialists in maintenance and repair of mold kits

✔ machine operators

✔ technologists for the operation of glass furnaces

✔ chemists

Currently, two higher educational institutions and two secondary schools are prepared for the qualification training process:

⦿ International Industrial Academy

⦿ International Academy of Business Mendeleev Russian Chemical Technical University named after D.I. Mendeleev

⦿ GAPOU VO "Gusev Glass College" named after G.F. Chekhlova

⦿ GBPOU PA "Nikolsk Technological College named after. HELL. Obolensky"

In some specialties, training processes will soon begin under agreed advanced training programs. Upon completion of the training, students who successfully pass the certification will be issued certificates of advanced training in the established form.

At the same time, the possibility of training specialists in ecology, industrial safety, economic planning services, etc. is being explored.

After agreeing on the training programs with educational institutions, proposals for additional training for employees will be sent to glass factories.

The heads of the SSR services made proposals.

The meeting was chaired by Viktor Osipov, President of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia, who in his concluding remarks wished plant managers to plan additional vocational education for 2025 and report data to the Association for the preparation of planned training according to schedules agreed with educational institutions.

At the same time, Viktor Osipov asked to make proposals to the Specialist Training Programs.

Decisions were made. Including the Scientific and Technical Center of the SSR to prepare a scheduled meeting on the topic raised in August 2024.
