Russians may be forbidden to put plastic windows in apartments

According to the publication, the experts who worked in the investigation of the explosion of domestic gas in Magnitogorsk, came to the conclusion that the destruction and the victims of emergency could be less if not for plastic windows. The fact is that during an explosion, plastic windows do not collapse as fast as wooden ones, so the force of the blast wave hits the walls and floors.

In case of explosion, special locking devices that can easily unlock in case of an emergency can reduce the danger of plastic windows. However, according to URA.RU with reference to the experts of the Vzryvoustoychivost scientific and technical center, the cost of plastic windows with anti-explosion double-glazed windows is almost two times higher than the price of products of standard configuration.

On whose shoulders the financial burden of reinstalling the windows will fall, is not specified. The director of the National Window Union, Sergei Fayziev, told the publication that, according to rough estimates, re-equipping the windows of a two-room apartment in the old housing stock would cost at least 100 thousand rubles.
