Lukashenko has banned plastic bottles in Belarus

More precisely, dishes intended for food purposes. This refers to plastic containers for beverages, packaging of semi-finished products and other products where alternative materials can be used to preserve the properties of these products.

“Already advanced countries that support their citizens refuse plastic. I recently ordered to remove plastic bottles and containers at the first stage and replace them with glass. Moreover, we have developed this industry sector. This should be immediately implemented.” (A. Lukashenko)

The President was upset that when it was possible to use relatively environmentally friendly materials, manufacturers pack the product in plastic, which is harmful to nature and to people who use plastic packaging products. Not only did Lukashenko criticize imported products, but his producers more upset him, who also “sin” with plastic, instead of glass and paper.

The president said that this is not just an imitation of European countries, many of which have long since abandoned plastic, but more concern for their people. It has already been proven that when feeding from plastic dramatically increases the percentage of diseases of any kind in humans.

The second goal of Lukashenko is the creation of powerful enterprises in Belarus for processing waste and obtaining high-quality and inexpensive secondary raw materials.
