I decade, June 2023. Market analysis of railway shipments of glass

In the first ten days of June 2023, the positive dynamics of glass shipments by rail to the Russian market (domestic deliveries + imports) continued - plus 97.4% compared to the corresponding period last year. In the third decade of May 2023 - plus 50.9%.

From the beginning of the year to June 10, 2023, the shipment of glass by rail to the Russian market amounted to 16.5 million square meters. m, which is 6.9% less than for the same period in 2022 (a decade earlier - minus 11.5%).

Glass deliveries by rail for the period from January 1 to June 10, 2023 decreased in four districts of the Russian Federation (in brackets - the dynamics for the period from the beginning of the year to May 31, 2023):

• FEFD -48.2% (previously -54.7%);

• VFD -39.9% (previously -43.3%);

• Southern Federal District -20.1% (previously -27.0%);

• CFD -1.3% (previously -5.1%).

Positive dynamics of glass shipments by rail for the period from January 01 to June 10, 2023 was observed in the following districts of the Russian Federation (in brackets - the dynamics for the period from the beginning of the year to May 31, 2023):

• NWFD +62.1% (previously +59.5%);

• North Caucasus Federal District +51.9% (previously +51.4%);

• Siberian Federal District +13.7% (previously +8.0%);

• Ural Federal District +4.5% (previously +3.5%).

For comparison: the dynamics of railway shipment of glass in January-April 2023 amounted to -20.3%, and the dynamics of the entire glass market -36.7%. Share of railroad shipments of glass to the Russian market in general.
