Working window

The hole in the bathroom furnace through which the molten glass is collected


Glass thickness

a defect in the glass product in the form of an uneven distribution of glass melt along the thickness of the walls and (or) the bottom.


Destructive pressure

The internal pressure at which the glass container breaks


Bursting pressure

The internal pressure at which the glass container breaks


Sink

1. A small flake of glass, chipped from the edge when struck with something sharp.

2. The recess remaining in the body of the glass after removing the flakes.

A certain amount of glass welded simultaneously


Devitrification

Glass crystallization along with progressive loss of transparency


Rib marks

Arc-shaped ridges on a broken glass surface perpendicular to the direction of fracture propagation


Reversal

Periodic operation to transfer the direction of the torch in a regenerative furnace


X-ray protective glass

this is an amber-colored glass containing 70% lead oxide, which significantly reduces ionizing radiation (X and Y).


Reflective glass

Glass with a metallized reflective coating on one side.


Rosalyn

A kind of stained glass, pink, stained with selenium


Ruby (ruby glass)

A kind of stained-glass transparent glass of red color in various shades, painted with gold (golden ruby), copper (copper ruby) or a combination of cadmium sulfide and cadmium selenide (cadmium or selenium ruby)
