On February 9, 2022, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Council for Industrial Development and Competitiveness of the Russian Economy will hold a meeting on the topic “Personnel for industry. Preparing for the New Industrialization. Problems, solutions.

About the topic:

The shortage of personnel from the problems of industry is moving into the category of deterrent factors for the country's economic development.

According to the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, the output of the manufacturing industry in November 2021 increased by 9.2% compared to pre-pandemic November 2019, while the shortage of personnel is 3.6% of the total number of employees. The tasks of carrying out the New Industrialization cannot be solved without a faster growth in the training of technical specialists.

Issues for discussion:

- Educational experiments of the 90s and staff shortage in the industry: how to correct the mistakes? Necessary system solutions in economic, educational and industrial policy.

- Millers or bloggers? How to make work in the industry prestigious, profitable, interesting, innovative. What will encourage people to return to the regions?

- What measures should the state take today to overcome the acute personnel crisis in industry?

- How and whom to prepare for the New Industrialization? What are the roles in planning for industrial enterprises, the educational community and government.
