XI International Forum «Russian Brewing Industry - A Look into the Future»

On October 15, 2021, the XI International Forum "The Russian Brewing Industry - A Look into the Future" was held in Moscow.

The event was attended by the heads of relevant committees and services of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, the Federal Antimonopoly Service, and supervisory agencies of Russia.

The forum was held in a mixed format: part-time participation.

Within the framework of the Forum, two panel discussions "Vlast" and "Business" were held, during which speakers answered questions related to new trends, challenges and market risks, and also spoke about their vision of the future of the Russian brewing industry.

Viktor Osipov, President of the Association, spoke on behalf of StekloSouz of Russia. In his report, Viktor Osipov spoke about the current situation in the production of glass containers, the possibilities of glass factories to fully provide Russian food manufacturers with glass containers of varying complexity.

Viktor Osipov said that at present, according to the statistics of the European Union, the Russian glass industry is in the top five suppliers to the European market of glass products for various consumer industries. However, the domestic market remains a priority.

Viktor Osipov answered the questions of the Forum participants, including about the pricing policy of glass container factories, changes in the structure of the use of glass containers, taking into account global trends in the transition of the food industry to bottling products in glass packaging, questions regarding the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), about the work of "StekloSouz" With the Federal government bodies of Russia on the recognition of glass factories as utilizers and other issues.
