- Multicomponent optical glasses with high refractive index

The effect of modifying oxides Nb2O5, BaO, Ga2O3, TiO2 on the glass-forming ability, thermal, physical and optical properties of glasses of the four-component system La2O3 – Al2O3 – B2O3 – SiO2 (LABS) was studied. It was found that when modifying the LABS system, it is possible to achieve high values of the refractive index (nD = 1.81) in combination with a low crystallization ability and the possibility of obtaining optically uniform glass castings up to 150 mm in size. The variety of coordination states of cations of modifiers determines their complex effect on the properties of glasses and the appearance of non-monotonic concentration dependences of properties. Synthesis of multicomponent glass in a 300-ml crucible using optical glass-making methods confirms the promising nature of this composition for its implementation on an industrial scale.

- Transparent glass-crystalline materials based on lead fluoroborate glasses co-activated with Eu / Gd

By heat treatment of the initial lead fluoroborate glasses, transparent glass-crystalline materials co-activated with Eu3 + / Gd3 + were obtained. It was found that ions of rare-earth elements in the obtained transparent samples are located in nanoparticles of cubic crystals of lead fluoride, distributed in the bulk of the glass. It was shown that Eu3 + ions are in a highly symmetric local environment and that the introduction of a second activator leads to an increase in the fraction of the nanocrystalline phase.

- Use of various types of aluminum-containing raw materials in the production of type E fiber

A comprehensive study of various types of aluminum-containing raw materials and their effect on glass formation processes during the melting of borosilicate glasses for type E fiber has been carried out. up to 16.30%.
