Uzbekistan's leading glass container manufacturing company celebrates its tenth anniversary

Asl Oyna Limited Liability Company, located in the Sergeli district of the capital, celebrated its first anniversary - ten years from its founding.

The decision to create such an enterprise in Uzbekistan is justified by the need to provide local producers with high-quality glass containers, which required an increase in production and processing of agricultural products and beverage manufacturers. And on October 17, 2009 a new enterprise, equipped with one glass melting furnace, came into operation. Initially, up to 300 employees worked on it, today their number has doubled.

Ten years later, the young enterprise turned into a leading regional manufacturer of glass containers. Its capacity is more than 250 tons per day, or about 200 million conventional units of production per year, and it diverges not only throughout the republic, but also to neighboring countries - Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and from this year - delivered to Georgia, Armenia , Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan.

As early as February 2017, as part of the investment program, a second glass melting furnace with a capacity of up to 120 tons per day was commissioned here, which allowed to increase the capacity of the enterprise by 70 percent. By the way, the new furnace is the only one in Central Asia. Equipped with a needle-type recuperator, it has a high efficiency, is economical in energy consumption and environmentally friendly.

The automatic system allows you to control the entire production process - from the filling of raw materials to packaging of finished products, including the process of checking the conformity of its physical parameters. And the first production testing laboratory in the republic provides incoming quality control of raw materials. The company has also introduced an international system of quality and food safety management, which allows it to cooperate with leading global manufacturers. So, since 2017, the company has been an authorized supplier of glass containers to the enterprises of JV Coca-Cola Bottlers Uzbekistan Ltd. and JV LLC International Beverages Tashkent (PepsiCo Bottler in Uzbekistan).

Focus on high-tech production and product quality allowed Asl Oyna to gain not only strong positions in the national and regional markets, but also to build ambitious plans to enter the markets of Russia and Europe. Advantages of the company include such factors as continuous improvement of production and management processes, exchange of experience with leading European companies, training of specialists abroad, as well as the search and implementation of innovations in the technological process of production. Equipped with lines of leading manufacturers of high-tech equipment in Germany, Italy and France, the company is capable of producing almost any glass container with a capacity of 250 milliliters to two liters, however, the bulk of the production is exclusive glass containers, developed jointly with consumers.

Another important aspect of the company's vigorous development is the use of local resources in the production of glass containers. All the necessary components are available in large volumes in Uzbekistan: quartz sand - at the Jeroi deposits in Navoi and Maisky deposits in the Tashkent region, soda ash - from the Kungrad soda plant. And only about a percent of chemical reagents, mainly used for painting glass, are imported.

A ten-year milestone is not a reason to rest on the results achieved, and Asl Oyna LLC is working to expand production capacities. In the short term - 2020-2022 - the implementation of a number of large investment projects aimed both at increasing the export potential and saturating the domestic market. It is planned to commission three more glass furnaces equipped with modern high-tech equipment, which will not only triple the production capacity of the enterprise, but also develop new markets for the sale of products, for example, the pharmaceutical industry - bottles for dispensing medicines or containers for processed agricultural products.
