Serial production of the latest fiberglass aircraft launched in Volgograd

Serial production of "Dreamers" will begin in Volgograd. This name was given to the latest aircraft made of fiberglass, OTR reports.

Externally, the novelty is similar to a fighter, only the hull is made of lightweight and cheap fiberglass. Its weight is only 1.5 tons. Instead of jet engines, fans. Without refueling, it can fly more than a thousand kilometers. The author of the project took 10 years to create the aircraft.

Ben Kolotilin, an American businessman of Russian origin, deliberately returned to his historical homeland to bring the idea of the "Dreamer" to life. The advantage of development - low cost - it costs several times less than jet aircraft of this class.

The plane has already received positive reviews at international air shows. After participating in MAKS-2019, the creators immediately received 100 pre-orders and found an investor. Serial production is scheduled to begin in 2020.
