The delegation of the Krasnodar Territory, led by the Governor of the Kuban, Veniamin Kondratiev, visited the Czech factory Glassalex glassware.

"Carousel" - the so-called apparatus at the factory - gives the product an appearance and simultaneously connects its two main parts: leg and bowl. The main task is to do everything with jewelry precision, without any reservations.

“The connection of the cup and the legs of the glass is done by smoothing technology. The junction is heated to a certain temperature, the glass melt is stretched, and the glass becomes one without a single seam - just like with manual work. If the transition is noticeable even by touch, this is already a marriage, ”said Tibor Matiz, director of production of the Czech glass factory.

Bohemian glass is a national treasure of the Czech Republic. The first glassblower workshops appeared here at the end of the 13th century. The town of Novy Bor is a world-famous region for the production of crystalline glass. That is, without lead, which allows you to make products lighter, thinner and sleeker, but no less durable. Each glass can withstand a load of up to 13 tons.

The Novy Bor plant is the largest potable glass producer in the world. Masters not only make glasses, decanters and glasses, but also decorate them. Hand-painted glass remains one of the main technologies. At first glance, the work is simple, but it requires incredible concentration and attention. For a shift, approximately 500 glasses go through the hands of the master. There are no male decorators at the factory. Women approach this matter much more coolly.

“On the finished product is a spray of paint at the bottom of the glass. When we turn it over, it is clear that due to the refraction of the glass, the glass plays in pink, ”said Elena Samkova, manager of the Czech glass factory for sales to Russia.

To buy a similar product, it is not necessary to go to the Czech Republic. The rights to decorate Bohemian glass belongs to the Kuban factory in the village of Little Russia. Such production in the Tikhoretsky district is the only one in Russia. Glasses and glasses for their further engraving and painting are brought directly from New Bor.

The visit of the governor of the Krasnodar Territory to a plant in the Czech Republic is an intention to expand the boundaries of cooperation. In the Kuban they are ready not only to decorate, but also to release the dishes themselves. Veniamin Kondratyev is shown the heart of the plant. Bohemian glass mass is obtained in a bath, where limestone, sand, calcium are mixed and molten material is obtained for the legendary glasses. In total, the plant produces 55 million products a year.

Veniamin Kondratiev demonstrate the entire production cycle. Particular attention is paid to quality control. The slightest unevenness, and the glass goes for recycling. After packaging, products are sent from here to 70 countries. A significant part of exports is aimed specifically at Russia.

The Czechs themselves admit that the visit of the head of the Russian region is both an unexpected and pleasant gesture. Indeed, such a direct dialogue between the governor and a potential investor indicates the seriousness of intentions. In the Krasnodar Territory, they are ready to help with the launch of a new production and create comfortable conditions for it. And, apparently, such a platform for business interested Bohemian glaziers. The meeting with Veniamin Kondratiev was personally attended by the owners of the plant. They discussed the details of a possible collaboration on the construction of their first Russian production of Czech glassware.

“If you are interested in our production and have any suggestions, we would like to listen to you,” said Vladimir Ilyin, owner of the Crystalex Supervisory Board.

“The region’s economy is developing quite dynamically, we would not want to miss the opportunity, if mutually agreed, so that the Crystalex plant places its production in the Kuban. The Tikhoretsk region is an agro-industrial region, but it would be great to develop industry as a whole, since this is a matter of prestige and employment, ”said the head of the Kuban, Veniamin Kondratyev.

A significant plus in favor of the Kuban is a huge market. A large number of hotels, restaurants, in fact, the entire sanatorium complex. Taking into account the vacationers, the target audience grows to 17 million people, so perhaps a new brand will soon appear - Kuban glassblowers.
