Non-oil exports sharply increased in the Stavropol Territory

Over the eight months of 2019, the Stavropol Territory increased the export of non-oil products by 5.8%. Income from this category of exports in January-August reached $ 787.7 million, which is 99.1% of the total export income of the region’s enterprises, a REGNUM government press service said on November 7.

Non-oil exports of digital, video and television equipment (growth rate of 832.7%), sugar (growth of 545.6%), lamb (growth of 321.7%), acyclic hydrocarbons (growth of 314.1%), oilcake showed the largest revenue growth. and meal (growth of about 191%).

Manufacturers of nitrogen and mixed fertilizers (with a combined income growth of more than $ 100 million), poultry meat and offal, perfumes and cosmetics also showed high growth rates for shipped products. Revenues from the export of glass containers, wheat and flour increased by almost a third.

Boris Obolenets, President of the Stavropol Chamber of Commerce and Industry, noted that the region is demonstrating a sharp increase in non-oil exports amid a decline in this indicator in a number of neighboring regions. In his opinion, this testifies to the fact that work is well established in the region to create a favorable investment climate.
