In Russia, they figured out how to turn garbage into fuel

Specialists of the Academician S. S. Kutateladze Institute of Thermophysics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences have created a unit with which it is possible to process household municipal waste into fuel and building materials.

The creators of the incinerator (it has been developed for 5 years) say that any waste can be recycled in it. Garbage is burned in the installation at a temperature of 1300 degrees and is processed by a plasma jet. In an hour, the furnace is able to process 20 kg of garbage.

A researcher at the institute Pavel Domarov explained that during processing glass, metal or ceramics decompose, turn into gas and are melted into safe slag. The latter is suitable for use in construction. For example, paving slabs can be made from it.

The physicist also added that “high-calorific synthesis gas can be used in the power industry, energy, or for the needs of the chemical industry.”

It is very important that the technology is environmentally friendly and the products obtained during processing are completely harmless.
