An eco-industrial park for working with recyclable materials will be created in Primorye

This is one of 8 sites that are being built in the country for the production of new goods from processed products.

It is planned to put into operation an eco-industrial park in the Primorsky Territory by 2027 as part of the federal project “Circular Economy”. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Environmental Operator (REO). This is one of 8 parks that are being built in the country. Here residents will recycle waste and create new products.

“Eco-industrial parks will be anchor sites for the creation of production clusters for waste disposal and production of products from recycled materials. The state is building infrastructure there, electricity and water supply, and access roads to them. And entrepreneurs will build processing plants. And they can count on support. REO has already signed agreements with 24 companies that will create their own production facilities for recycling secondary resources and producing products from recycled materials,” added REO CEO Denis Butsaev.

It is noted that by the end of this year, six eco-industrial parks are going to be built in Russia - in the Stavropol Territory, Leningrad, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk and Chelyabinsk regions. Two more will appear before 2027, these are sites in Primorye and Krasnodar Territory. Please note that these are the opening dates for the sites themselves; the construction of enterprises in the parks will take some more time.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Victoria Abramchenko visited the most ready-made park in the Moscow region and noted that at this site residents are going to process wood and rubber waste to produce a rubber modifier. It is used in road construction for the manufacture of road surfaces, sports and playgrounds. Another important separate area within the complex is glass processing.
