The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced the absence of a deficit of building materials in Russia

Russia does not experience a shortage of building materials. This was stated on Friday by the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Viktor Yevtukhov in an interview with the Russia-24 TV channel.

“No, we have absolutely no shortage of building materials. We now have capacities even with a margin, ”he said.

Evtukhov added that the import of building materials is 5-7% of the total consumption. “And then in the border areas, where it is more profitable for logistics to bring building materials,” he said.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered to submit proposals by March 1 to limit the rise in prices for building materials. This order is addressed to the Cabinet and the State Council Commission in the direction of "Construction, housing and communal services, urban environment."
