Three eco-technoparks will be built in Crimea

Three eco-technoparks and seven waste transfer stations will be built in Crimea; about 6 billion rubles are planned to be invested in the project by 2024, said the head of the republic Sergey Aksenov.

According to him, ecotechnoparks will be built in three regions of the republic: a complex landfill in the Saki region, an ecotechnopark for processing, neutralization, utilization and disposal of solid municipal waste in the village of Turgenevo, Belogorsk district, as well as a complex landfill in the Leninsky district, which provides for the processing of construction waste into crushed stone , glass, plastic and composting.

"The implementation of this project will reduce the amount of garbage that is currently being buried, from 1 million to 300 thousand tons. Everything else will be utilized and processed," Aksenov stressed.

At the same time, the head of Crimea assured that protective zones will be created around the landfills in order to avoid pollution of the surrounding area with plastic bags and other waste.
