The stylobate of the Moscow skyscraper will be built in the style of architectural bionics

The stylobate of the Wellton Towers skyscrapers complex in Khoroshevo-Mnevniki will be made of innovative fiber-reinforced concrete and architectural concrete. The material was developed by architects of the A-Project Institute of Design and Technology. The skyscraper will be the first residential building in Moscow, which will embody the modern concept of bionic architecture, according to a press release from the Krost concern.

Fiber concrete consists of special fiberglass and cement compounds, which can take any geometric shape. When hardening, the material has special strong properties and can be used in architecture and landscape design to create a wide variety of products.

Due to the innovative material, the facade will take on wave-like forms. The stylobate will house restaurants, shops and other infrastructure for residents of the skyscraper, which they can use without leaving the building. The facade of the building will be visible from the side of the People’s Militia and Marshal Zhukov Avenue.

Wellton Towers is a three high-rise residential tower, united by a common stylobate part. The project was created on the principle of a vertical city - all the infrastructure is located inside the stylobate, common to all three towers, and on its roof there will be a private park for residents.

Architectural bionics involves the use in the construction of forms, structures and textures of wildlife. This is a universal style that was embodied by both Soviet and Western architects. Among the most famous projects are the cucumber house of Norman Foster in London, the cypress skyscraper in Shanghai, the Sydney Opera House in Australia, the facade of the Ice Cave in Zaryadye.
