The Council under the Ministry of Construction proposed to introduce criminal punishment for construction falsification

For the production and sale of falsified building materials in Russia, criminal and administrative penalties can be introduced. This proposal was made by the Public Council under the Ministry of Construction.

It is proposed to introduce the concept of "falsified industrial products" into the federal law, and to determine the punishment for its sale in the Administrative Offenses Code and the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The changes may affect both Russian and foreign manufacturers and suppliers. At the moment, there is no definition of falsified industrial products in Russian legislation.

As Izvestia writes with reference to the commission on the building materials and technologies industry under the Public Council of the Ministry of Construction, the issue is really acute. More than half of the products in the electrical field are of inadequate quality. In the segment of dry building mixtures, more than a third of the products are counterfeit. Among sealants - from 35 to 45% of products.
