The representative office of the StekloSouz Association in the South and North Caucasus Federal Districts took part in a working meeting of the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services of the Rostov Region on cooperation between legal entities operating in the field of recycling with regional operators of the Rostov Region.

The year 2019 ended with an expanded meeting at the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services of the Government of the Rostov Region. A working meeting was chaired by the Deputy Minister I. Yaltyreva

During the meeting, issues of cooperation of legal entities operating in the field of recycling with regional operators of the Rostov region were discussed.

More than 20 specialists were invited to the meeting, including representatives of the regional operators of the Rostov Region - Chisty Gorod GC, EcoCenter LLC, Ecograd-N LLC, Ecotrans LLC, Ecoservice LLC, as well as company directors, engaged in recycling.

Vyacheslav Vitalievich Tulinov, head of the representative office of the StekloSouz Association in the South and North Caucasus Federal Districts, took part in the meeting from the StekloSoyuz of Russia. He told those present about the possibilities of cooperation with the StekloSoyuz Association, not only on the collection of glass containers and recycled materials, processing and delivery of cullet to Russian glass mills, but also on assisting in solving pressing environmental problems, introducing the best available technologies, creating favorable conditions for attract investment.

Currently, in the Rostov Region there are several organized points for the reception of uncontaminated glass containers, glass products and glass breaks in such cities as Rostov-on-Don (51 Narimanova St.), Kamensk-Shakhtinsk (4a Vinnaya St.), Aksay (st.Western 3a). The cost of cullet purchase at collection points is 1.0-1.5 rubles / kg. Cullet is supplied regularly to the Aktis Glass Factory, Kamensky Glass Container Factory JSC, Kavminsteklo JSC and others. Successful interaction with partner enterprises, both in the Rostov Region and in many regions of Russia, allowed to increase the total supply of cullet in 2019 to 3,000 tons per month.

However, Tulinov V.V. made a number of proposals necessary for the successful implementation of the proposals put forward by the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin's tasks in the field of ecology, namely:

- cooperation with regional operators on the collection of glass containers and recycled materials from the population with subsequent processing, which will contribute to the achievement of the target indicator of the regional project “Integrated Solid Waste Management System (Rostov Region)” in terms of increasing the share of solid municipal waste treatment and disposal in the total solid municipal waste generated.

- organization of educational environmental companies and public relations campaigns in the field of glass collection and processing, which will contribute to an increase in the share of sorted waste and reduce the negative impact on the environment.

The meeting participants noted the timeliness of the proposals, which will undoubtedly help in resolving issues related to the transition of the Rostov region to a new waste management system.

The Association StekloSouz of Russia invites all those interested in recycling secondary waste (glass containers) to cooperate.
