Smooth track and clean glass: Roads are being built and factories restored in the Bologovsky district

In the fall, as you know, not only chickens are counted. The construction season is drawing to a close, road works, landscaping of parks and streets are nearing completion. The heating season has come. The school year has begun. Harvesting completed. So we can talk about the results and prospects in relation to any area - from agriculture to road construction.

And this year there is a reason to sum up one more result: how did they cope with the force majeure caused by the pandemic in the districts of the Tver region? Have the enterprises returned to their previous production volumes (or maybe somewhere the rate of development did not decrease), what vectors of economic development came to the fore?

This is what we will talk about with the head of the Bologovsky district Gennady Lomaka.

Kilometers and millions

- Gennady Aleksandrovich, you have repeatedly discussed with Governor Igor Rudeni the issues of road construction in the region: in July and on the eve of National Unity Day. Obviously, this task is among the top priorities. How is it solved?

- As it was planned - according to the projects. Thus, the issue that worried many residents of the city has been resolved - repairs on the Kuzhenkinskoye highway, as well as on a section of Kirov Street with a length of 2.1 kilometers. After the electronic auction, the cost of the repair was 31 million 80 thousand rubles. These works have been completed. During the construction of the road, modern technologies were used: the coating here is especially durable, two-layer, 9 centimeters thick. And when tidying up the roadway, we do not forget about pedestrians: 2.5 km of sidewalks are being built along these sections, the work is 84% completed.

- Now the acceptance of the repaired courtyard territories and public spaces is coming to an end. What courtyards, squares, etc. this summer, landscaped in your city?

- Residents of houses No. 2 and No. 11 of Zaozerny microdistrict have already evaluated the result, their yards have been put in order. Next year we will continue landscaping in Zaozernoye: plans include the renovation of three more courtyards.

And under the program "Comfortable Urban Environment" this year they have already made a sidewalk - 600 meters along Dzerzhinsky Street, more than three million rubles have been allocated for this project.

In addition, they are equipping pedestrian zones in the Berezovaya Roshcha park with a length of more than a kilometer. The price of the issue is 5 million 700 thousand. This facility should be completed in November.

Directly to the plant

- What about the road leading to the Lunacharsky Glass Factory? After all, this is a significant industrial facility for the region.

- Yes, and one of the conditions for the development of any production is good transport accessibility. That half-kilometer section in the village of Berezayka in question has already been completed and put into operation. In accordance with the project, a two-layer asphalt concrete pavement with a total thickness of 9.5 centimeters is arranged on it. In a word, freight transport will survive. I want to note that we were able to repair this road with the support of the regional budget and thanks to the personal instructions of the governor of the Tver region.

- Since we remembered about the glass factory, tell us how things are going there now? After all, the company resumed its activities relatively recently?

- To be precise - in August 2019. Then its activity on the territory of our region was registered by LLC "Chistoe glass", the founder of the plant, and soon the enterprise began to produce products. This is one of our largest employers and taxpayers: in just 8 months of this year, the budget received more than 10 million rubles of personal income tax. Now 236 employees work at the Lunacharsky glass plant, and 420 jobs are planned to be created by 2022. As you can see, this investment project, which is being implemented with the support of the regional authorities and the head of the region personally, is very important for the district.

In fact, the first year has already passed. And he showed that the restoration of the enterprise is proceeding at a good pace, production volumes are increasing, orders, as far as we know, will last three years in advance. In the near future, a warehouse with an area of 1,500 sq. m. And in November-December, two more glass-forming machines will be delivered, which will increase productivity by a quarter.

Our plan worked

- How did the enterprises of the Bologovsky region survive the period of forced restrictions? Has this somehow affected the development prospects of the territory?

- Of course, COVID-19 has made negative adjustments to the activities of all sectors of the economy. But the enterprises of our region got out of the emergency situation with honor. It can even be said that force majeure in the full sense of the word was avoided: thanks to the action plan to ensure sustainable economic development of the Tver region, approved by the governor, our main industrial and agricultural enterprises were not closed. And to support enterprises that could face a drop in demand, interruptions in the supply of raw materials and other difficulties, the district administration also took a number of measures. Namely: for those who found themselves "at risk", they lowered the rates of payment for leased premises and land plots, did not raise the rates of payment for the placement of non-stationary shopping facilities, and halved the basic profitability ratio for calculating the single tax on imputed income.

- That is, all those plans "for the future" that were outlined in the economy of the Bologovskiy district are being implemented?

- As of today - quite. Among the promising projects for the territory is Bologovskiy Valve Plant LLC, which provides jobs for almost 400 people. Today, the company is actively working on concluding contracts for the production of products (these are taps, valves, valves and fittings for pipelines, boilers, cisterns, tanks and similar containers). In the next three years, the plant plans to increase production volumes by 20-30%.

In the field of agriculture, LLC MMK Ilyatinsky, SPK Msta, IE Burkov D.V. - they specialize in the production of meat and milk. Three Bologov farmers received grants from the Agrostartup, and the Bologov agricultural consumer cooperative also participates in this program.

In a word, there are enough good ideas and people in the Bologovsky district who are able to implement them.
