Create a titanium-glass cluster offer in Tulun. According to the press service of Irkutsk State University, the project is expected to be implemented in eight years, multibillion investments will be required. Revenues may reach more than 35 billion rubles a year, 5,000 jobs will be created.

- The implementation of the project involves the enrichment of technogenic raw materials with the release of quartz sand and ilmenite concentrate, the creation of glass and metallurgical plants to produce marketable products. We are talking about glass, glass fittings and optics in the first case, titanium white and iron sulfate in the second. This choice of marketable products is associated with the lack of glass factories outside the Urals and the lack of titanium white production in Russia, the report said.

The project was presented to the Acting Governor of the Irkutsk Region Igor Kobzev.

The scientific and educational base of the project are Irkutsk State University, Irkutsk Scientific Center of the SB RAS, the Institute of the Earth's Crust of the SB RAS, Spirit PC, the Mineral technological equipment factory.
