Congratulations on the 90th anniversary of the INSTITUTE OF GLASS!

The State Order of the Red Banner of Labor and the Badge of Honor the Glass Research Institute (GIS) is celebrating its 90th anniversary!

The activity of the Glass Institute has made a great contribution to the development of Russian science, to obtaining new knowledge and developing new technologies for the domestic glass industry:

- Development and improvement of industrial technology for the production of glass and glass products;

- Design of glass production;

- Development of new materials from glass and on its basis, building and other structures made of glass;

- Development of methods for chemical and thermal hardening of glass and the creation of safe glasses;

- Technical regulation, standardization, testing of glass and glass structures;

- Design and mathematical modeling of the functioning of structures made of glass;

- Research of raw materials for glass production;

- Marketing research of the market for glass and glass products, the raw material base of the glass industry;

- Economic studies of the production and use of glass;

- Production of narrowly special types of glasses and products from them.
