Fiberglass panels were first used in the decoration of metro stations in Moscow

When decorating the Big Ring Line (BKL) stations Aviamotornaya and Lefortovo, fiberglass concrete was used for the first time. This was announced on his page on the social network Facebook by the deputy mayor of Moscow on urban development policy and construction, Marat Khusnullin.

He explained that a completely new innovative material, which was created by domestic experts, was used in the decoration. Khusnullin added that when it was created, concrete and fiberglass were used.

“In the construction of the metro we generally use all available technologies, it is important for us to make the stations as convenient and safe for passengers as possible,” Khusnullin noted.

Lefortovo will open in the park at the Sputnik cinema. The station is stylized as engravings of the 17th – 18th centuries. The Lefortovo Palace on the right bank of the Yauza River served as the idea of creating just such an interior of the station.

Aviamotornaya is located at the intersection of the Enthusiasts passage with the Enthusiasts highway and the Ryazan direction of the Moscow Railway. First, the station will be part of the Nekrasovskaya metro line, and later - the Big Ring Line. It is estimated that its passenger flow per day will be about 400 thousand people.

Earlier it was reported that in 2020 they plan to open nine metro stations in Moscow. So, it is planned to open four stations of the Nekrasovskaya line (Southeast, Okskaya, Stakhanovskaya, Nizhny Novgorod), three stations of the south-eastern section of the Big Ring Line (Aviamotornaya, Lefortovo, Elektrozavodskaya) , as well as two stations of the western section ("Streets of the People’s Militia", "Karamyshevskaya").

The Big Ring Line is the largest construction site in the history of Moscow Metro. They are planning to complete the main work in 2022.

The length of the line will be 70 kilometers, it will include 31 stations. With BCL it will be possible to transfer not only to other branches of the subway, but to the MCC, railway and WDC.
