Dagestan Glass Container LLC plans to increase export supplies of glass containers by commissioning a new workshop, according to the website of the Russian government.

It is noted that the implementation of the investment project will also ensure growing demand in the glass container market.

A special investment contract for the implementation of the project at the enterprise was signed by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, the head of Dagestan Sergei Melikov and the general director of Dagestan Glass Container LLC Patakhudin Magomedov. The investment project is aimed at modernizing and expanding the workshop for the production of glass containers.

“The goal of the investment project is to expand the existing production of glass containers at the Dagestan plant by equipping it with automated equipment for the production of lightweight container glass. The plant will produce glass containers of non-standard shapes of different volumes for packaging chemical, food, perfumery, cosmetics and pharmaceutical products,” Manturov is quoted as saying in the message.

As Interfax was told at the enterprise, the volume of investment in the project will amount to 1.6 billion rubles. Previously, the launch of the workshop was planned for the first quarter of 2024. Currently, the project implementation period has been postponed to the fourth quarter of this year.

As reported, the commissioning of a new workshop at Dagestan Glass Container LLC will increase the production capacity of the enterprise to 344 million products per year. The project provides for the construction of a modern glass melting furnace and the installation of modern equipment for the production of high-quality products in the amount of 160 tons of glass melt per day (144 million pieces of glass containers per year in 0.5-liter terms).

Dagestan Glass Container LLC is a major supplier of glass containers in the North Caucasus Federal District. 70-75% of manufactured products are sold on the domestic market, 25-30% are exported. The range of products includes over 70 types.
