Moskomarkhitektura approved the concept of the new Yandex headquarters with stained glass

Moskomarkhitektura has approved an architectural and urban planning solution for the new headquarters of Yandex. This was reported on Monday by the press service of the Moskomarkhitektura.

It will be located in the Gagarinsky District on the site of the former Korston Hotel. Its first floors will house restaurants, cafes, pharmacies and service companies; there is a multilevel underground parking. The building will also house the Yandex Museum, two large conference rooms and an educational complex. According to the report, the complex will consist of three "wings" united by a central atrium. The height of these "wings" will vary: the closer to residential buildings, the lower. In general, the building will be comparable in height to Korston.

The chief architect of Moscow, Sergei Kuznetsov, whose words are quoted in the message, noted that the project of this building will become another example of the implementation of complex, technological, modern architecture in the capital. "He specified that the facades of the building will be faced with light titanium panels, part of the walls and the atrium will be to have stained-glass glazing The roof, according to Kuznetsov, will have a complex contour with exploited terraces along the facade and on the roof.

Yandex is also going to improve the area between Akademik Zeldovich and Akademik Zelinsky streets near the new headquarters. A park with an area of about 2 hectares will appear there.

The project was developed by the London bureau PLP Architecture, chief architect - Lee Polisano. Russian bureaus APEX and RTDA also participate in the design.
