The Ministry of Construction forms a "road map" to improve the quality of construction products

The Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation is developing an action plan aimed at improving the quality and safety of materials used at the construction site. Last Monday, its main directions were discussed at the ministry with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Economic Development, Rosstandart, Rostekhnadzor, Rosakkreditatsiya, as well as NOSTROY, NOPRIZ and the Control Department of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation.

The Roadmap, designed to ensure the quality and safety of construction, involves three main areas of action: improving the quality of building materials and introducing innovations, training the necessary specialists, including scientific personnel, and improving the pricing system.

The key point in the first direction is the creation of a digital quality control system for building materials and products at the production stage, as well as at the level of all participants in the turnover of products on the market. Also among the proposals is the formation of a unified register of bona fide suppliers of construction resources and the regulation of the work of construction laboratories in which construction products are tested for compliance with the declared characteristics.

“The ultimate goal of the implementation of the plan should be the creation of a holistic and integrated system for ensuring the quality and safety of construction products at all stages: production, circulation and use on the construction site. This will improve the quality of construction and its safety, as well as reduce the financial costs of developers and construction companies when eliminating construction shortcomings using low-quality and falsified materials,” said Irek Fayzullin, Minister of Construction and Housing and Public Utilities of the Russian Federation.

“As a result of the meeting, a number of agreements were reached on the further joint development of common approaches that will improve the quality of building materials,” the press service of the Ministry of Construction reported.
