The Ministry of Industry and Trade hopes for the growth of the Russian industry in 2021

Taking into account the latest trends in the economy, the industry may see growth in 2021. This was announced on the air of the YouTube channel "Solovyov Live" by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.

“I expect that, taking into account the trend that we, at least, saw at the turn of the IV quarter of last year, and we see this continuing trend in January, although it is always quite controversial year after year, but we proceed from the fact that there will be a small plus by 2021, ”Manturov said.

According to him, according to preliminary data, in 2020 the pharmaceutical industry showed an increase of 20%, the light industry - by 10%, and agricultural machinery - by more than 15%.

At the same time, Manturov did not give specific forecasts for 2021, however, “given that we should pay more attention, for example, to the industries of metallurgy, building materials, glass industry and chemistry,” he hopes for some growth by the results of 2020.
