Larta Glass launched the production of oversized coated architectural glass at a plant in the Rostov region

Larta Glass, one of the largest manufacturers of sheet glass, coated glass and mirrors in the CIS countries, has launched the production of large-sized glass with a format of more than 9 meters. The modernization of production was completed at the company's plant in the Rostov region in February 2023 and became a continuation of the investment program for the development of enterprises.

The use of heavy bulky glass in a project, as a rule, is associated with certain difficulties: it is not easy to process, transport and install. However, architects are already using oversized glass from international manufacturers, and until recently it had to be imported from Europe. The production of oversized coated architectural glass is a unique competence for the Russian market.

“For more than two years we have been producing large-sized glass in a format of 3210 x 7300 mm, and we approached the oversize project taking this experience into account,” says Konstantin Kozetov, product manager. ― The entire wide range of architectural coatings from Larta Glass will be available in the new oversize glass format. The combination of aesthetics and thermal performance of an insulating glass unit, which is achieved mainly through magnetron sputtering on glass, is very important in the architectural segment and is especially important for large formats. In oversize format we will produce all our product groups with coatings: HP, HD, SE, HS. All this is multifunctional glass with added value, which is expressed in different aesthetics and colors, affects the visual appearance of the building, its thermal performance.”

The local production of oversized coated glass will simplify logistics and improve the quality of service, open up new opportunities for architects and designers to implement the most daring ideas and architectural forms, and also help to increase the investment attractiveness of projects due to the extraordinary aesthetics of the facade.
