The largest glass manufacturer completes business transformation in Russia

The leading Russian glass manufacturer (formerly AGC Glass Russia) announces the completion of the company's transformation in Eastern Europe. The new owner of the company was specialized investor Igor Mikhailovich Leitis. The transaction was completed in February of this year, and the company is currently completing the necessary legal procedures related to the transition of the business.

Previously, the company was part of AGC Glass Europe, the European division of AGC Inc. – and has been in a transition period for the last two years. The transition to Russian ownership will be a new milestone in the development of one of the largest players in the glass market, specializing in the production of glass for architectural, construction and automotive applications.

Completion of the transaction opens up new broad opportunities for the development of the company and further investments in equipping production complexes, and also actually returns the historical identity to key assets - the Bor Glass Factory in the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the Klin Glass Factory in the Moscow Region. As a result of the transformation, the companies that were previously part of AGC will unite under a single innovation group of an umbrella brand, the name of which will be announced at official events this spring. At the same time, the company’s priorities, as throughout the history of its activities in Eastern Europe, remain innovative development and technological leadership in the field of glass production.
