On October 04, 2022, the second day of the Scientific School-Conference with international participation for young scientists “Functional glasses and glassy materials: Synthesis. Structure. Properties".

During the full working day, problematic issues were considered:

- the nature of the glassy state;

- structure of glass-forming melts and glasses, computer modeling;

- glass archeometry and art glass.

All reports were accompanied by discussions with conclusions and proposals.

The indicated form of interaction between the scientific environment and the audience was conceived by the organizers of the event: the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia together with the Institute of Chemistry of Silicates. I.V. Grebenshchikov of the Russian Academy of Sciences (ICS RAS).

The proposed format made it possible to give the "school of glass" a high degree of organization of interesting scientific discussions. With conclusions and suggestions.

As part of the program, the conference participants visited the Mendeleev Center of St. Petersburg State University.

This format enabled young scientists, students of educational institutions and specialists of enterprises to gain invaluable experience in scientific and industrial knowledge.
