The first day of the Scientific School-Conference with international participation for young scientists “Functional glasses and glassy materials: Synthesis. Structure. Properties".

shared their achievements in technologies for studying the physicochemical properties of glass-forming melts and glasses.

More than 150 scientists and practitioners from research institutes, universities and enterprises took part in the conference.

As previously reported, the conference was opened by Viktor Ivanovich Osipov, President of the Association StekloSouz of Russia.

In her welcoming speech, Kruchinina Irina Yurievna, Vice-President of StekloSouz Russia, Director of the IHS RAS, spoke about the problematic issues that hinder the development of interaction between science and practice. She wished fruitful work for the implementation of program tasks.

Osipov Viktor Ivanovich in his report gave an assessment of the production of glass products for the domestic market and export of products.

Taking into account the difficult economic situation, additional tools have been created that are necessary to overcome problematic issues, including the Scientific and Technical Center (STC SSR), the head of which was approved by Lyudmila Fyodorovna Korshunova, Executive Director of SPC Steklo-Gaz LLC.

The formation of the Expert Council (EC) is being completed, to which the heads and scientific experts of institutes, educational institutions and factories are invited.

Viktor Ivanovich said that it is extremely important to restore the connection between science, education and production. To do this, StekloSouz needs to take an active part in the formation of the training program using new mechanisms. Streamline interaction with government departments and development institutions in obtaining grants for really necessary work for practical application.

The objective of the conference is to unite efforts to develop new technologies for the production of modern types of glass products.

Viktor Ivanovich proposed to hold a conference under the slogan: “Science in production! Training for production! He wished to take a decisive step in the implementation of the tasks set.
