Господдержка предприятий-производителей строительных материалов
Dear Colleagues!
We would like to inform you that Institute of Glass JSC, a member of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia, provides a wide range of services in the field of production and application of glass-containing products, including laboratory testing, development and production of unique materials with predetermined properties, standardization, as well as design and engineering. and expertise of glazing systems.
The "Institute of Glass" arose in 1918 in the form of the "State Testing Glass and Ceramic Station". Then the government of Soviet Russia set the task for specialists to create a scientific basis for the production of glass and other products based on silicates and organize it nationwide at a qualitatively new level compared to pre-revolutionary glassmaking.
The Institute went through several stages of development, but reached its peak in the last decades of the existence of the Soviet Union, when domestic industry and construction were intensively developing.
In a market economy, JSC "Institute of Glass" has become a competitive research organization that has been a leader in its industry since the 1930s.
JSC "Institute of Glass" is a reliable partner of the glass industry and the construction industry.
The organization provides a wide range of services to industrial enterprises of the industry: laboratory testing of glass and glass-containing products, development of regulatory documentation and maintenance of the regulatory framework, product examination, metrological examination.
In the field of construction, the institute can participate at all stages of the implementation of a construction project in terms of glazing: it performs tests, performs calculations, design and design of glazing systems, or gives recommendations on the choice of existing options, conducts quality control of double-glazed windows upon receipt from the manufacturer, if necessary - carries out examination of glazing at the stage of operation of the constructed facility.
Today the institute is also a developer and manufacturer of unique materials based on glass and glass crystals.
Testing laboratory for glass products
The Institute of Glass has one of the best testing laboratories for this profile in our country. Here, scientific research and testing of sheet glass are carried out, a set of works on standardization is carried out, an examination of the quality of glass products, metrological examination is carried out.
In their work on testing, the scientists and engineers of the institute use modern equipment and advanced methods:
- Optical-spectral studies of glass and other materials make it possible to determine their spectral characteristics, measure the optical parameters of glasses, including the coefficients of transmission, reflection, light absorption, etc.
- Polarization measurements determine the stresses in the glass. The Institute's specialists conduct consultations on polarization measurements.
- In the course of strength tests, impact resistance is checked, in the process of climatic and thermal tests, the material is exposed to climatic factors (heat, cold, moisture, UV radiation) and operational factors (acid, alkali, mechanical destruction).
Since the mass use of double-glazed windows in construction, specialized services have become widely demanded - calculations, design and design of glazing systems, not to mention quality control of batches of double-glazed windows. All these activities are within the competence of scientists and engineers of the Institute of Glass, who can be involved in work at any stage of the life cycle of a glazing system.
At the design stage, the institute's specialists perform calculations of glazing characteristics - strength, thermal, optical, acoustic - develop mathematical models and give recommendations to builders on choosing the optimal glazing design in the form of an official conclusion. Every year the Institute of Glass receives many orders for such works.
At the stage of manufacturing double-glazed windows, the institute's employees can provide builders with quality control services, both in the factory workshops and at the construction site when products are received from the manufacturer.
At the stage of operation of glazing, there is often a need for an independent examination - in case of damage to already installed double-glazed windows. The qualified opinion of the institute's experts helps construction companies to interact more effectively with suppliers and defend their position in court.
Back in Soviet times, the institute became the base organization for the development of standards and metrology in the domestic glass industry. And today, the Institute of Glasses continues to develop standards: GOSTs, SP, STO, TU.
Specialists carry out the examination of documents received from other organizations, as well as draft international ISO standards. The Institute maintains the regulatory framework in the areas of its activities, analyzes its state, prepares proposals for the creation of new regulatory documents, the abolition of obsolete ones and the updating of existing ones.
In addition to standards, the organization creates methodological and reference documents: recommendations, testing and certification methods, develops quality management systems for enterprises.
Also, JSC "Institute of Glass" performs the functions of the secretariat of the subcommittee PC 1 "Leaf glass" of the Russian technical committee for standardization TC 41 "Glass".
Development and production of unique materials
The Institute has created compositions and technologies for the manufacture of materials that are of great importance for various industries. The enterprise has its own production site, which allows, along with research and development, to provide consumers from various sectors of the economy with new materials.
Today, the organization can produce more than 20 types of glass and glass-ceramic materials. Let's give some examples.
Sitall EA-1-6. It has a negative temperature coefficient of linear expansion (TCLE), which allows it to be used as a filler-compensator for high thermal expansion of materials that form the basis of composites for various purposes - from organic polymers to inorganic binders. Such composites are used for casting compounds, adhesive joints, heat-resistant paint coatings in the electronics industry, precision engineering, etc.
Electrovacuum glasses (grades S52-1, S48-7, etc.) are used in the production of image intensifier tubes (IOCs), semiconductor photoelectric radiation receivers (photodetectors), vacuum devices, generator lamps, transmitting tubes, and photomultipliers.
Glass cements (grades STsNK84-2, STsNK77-2, STs90-1) - designed for the manufacture of vacuum-tight junctions: glass-metal, glass-ceramic, ceramic-metal).
Sound and heat insulation made of foam glass. It has valuable properties for protection against noise and heat loss: low thermal conductivity, high strength, resistance to aggressive materials.
Preserving the best traditions of the domestic scientific school, JSC "Institute of Glass" is working in many areas using the latest achievements of scientific and technological progress.
