I decade, February 2024. Dynamics of the market for railway glass shipments

Shipment of glass by rail to the Russian market (domestic deliveries + imports) in the first ten days of February 2024 continued its positive trend compared to the same period last year – plus 83.0%.

During the period from the beginning of the year to February 10, 2024, glass shipments by rail to the Russian market reached 5.0 million square meters. m, which is 47.4% more than for the same period in 2023.

Decrease in supplies of glass by rail for the period from January 1 to February 10, 2024 in three districts of the Russian Federation (in brackets - dynamics for the period from the beginning of the year to January 31, 2024):

• Far Eastern Federal District -47.8% (previously -73.1%);

• Southern Federal District -45.9% (previously -35.0%);

• North Caucasian Federal District -2.4% (previously -0.9%).

Consumption of glass delivered by rail for the period from January 1 to February 10, 2024 increased in the following districts of the Russian Federation (in brackets - dynamics for the period from the beginning of the year to January 31, 2024):

• Volga Federal District + 411.8% (previously +413.2%);

• Northwestern Federal District +136.1% (previously +153.7%);

• Siberian Federal District +65.8% (previously +34.0%);

• Central Federal District +20.3% (previously +30.0%);

• Ural Federal District +7.8% (previously +6.1%).

The share of railway glass supplies to the Russian market in total consumption in 2023 was ~21.7%.
