The export of the Tver region increased by 14% in January-July 2019 compared to the same period in 2018 and amounted to $ 196 million. This was reported by the information portal "Exporters of Russia".

“Since 2016, the volume of exports of goods produced in our region has increased 1.5 times. In foreign markets, the products of our enterprises in the machine-building, leather, woodworking and metalworking industries are in high demand. The Tver region has enough potential to increase and develop the export of services and goods that we produce, ”said Governor Igor Rudenya.

According to the “Exporters of Russia” portal, the export geography of the Tver region for 7 months of 2019 covered 67 countries, the key ones being Belarus, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Estonia, Germany, Italy, China, Latvia and Poland.

The main goods included railway and tram cars (deliveries totaled $ 33.6 million), processed leather ($ 16.4 million), timber ($ 12.4 million), fiberglass and articles thereof (6 , $ 4 million), parts and accessories of motor vehicles ($ 5.7 million), oil and petroleum products derived from bituminous rocks ($ 5.4 million), ferrous metal products ($ 5.4 million), untreated aluminum ($ 5.2 million) and fuelwood ($ 5.1 million).

According to the forecast of socio-economic development of the Tver region, considered at a meeting of the regional government on October 1, an increase in exports of goods and services to $ 491.2 million per year is planned for the period until 2024. According to the Ministry of Economic Development of the Tver region, in 2019 this figure will amount to 326.5 million US dollars.

Recall that in the Tver region in October, the educational project “School of REC Export” will start for representatives of export-oriented small and medium-sized enterprises. It will be implemented in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Economic Development of the Tver Region, JSC “Russian Export Center”, ANO DPO “School of Export of JSC“ Russian Export Center ”. Participation of entrepreneurs in the educational program is free. The next events will be held with the participation of experts from the federal level on customs regulation. The main operator for the implementation of the educational program in the Tver region will be the Regional Export Support Center.
