In January - May, the production of building materials in Russia seriously fell. In 9 of the 20 major groups, production volumes decreased by 15% or more, experts calculated. In another eight groups, the decline was less significant - up to 8%. And only in the three remaining (brick, sand, gravel) production growth was recorded.
17 of the 20 major groups of building materials in January - May recorded a decrease in production compared to the same period last year. Such conclusions when analyzing the data of Rosstat came in the Russian Union of Builders, writes the portal erz.rf
In particular, in nine groups, production volumes decreased by 15% or more. Among them:
• ceramic tiles for floors (drop of 14.6%);
• fiberboard plates (15.2%);
• chipboard plates (16%);
• wooden windows (17.3%)
• ceramic facade panels and carpets from them (18%);
• glass sheet cast, rolled, drawn or blown, but not processed in any other way (18.8%);
• glass sheet thermally polished and with a matte or polished surface (19.7%);
• plastic materials for coating the floor, walls, and ceiling (20.9%);
• wallpaper (33.7%).
Another eight groups also recorded a drop, but less significant (up to 8%). These are cement, ready-mixed concrete, wooden doors, ceramic tiles, concrete blocks, plywood, concrete building bricks and silicate wall blocks. The production of the last three groups fell by more than 5%.
Finally, production growth in January - May was recorded in only three groups of building materials. This is gravel (by 2.5%), sand (by 2.8%) and ceramic building bricks (by 3.3%).
